Spring Fever

It has been beautiful these past few days. Temperatures in the 60s, and today, it should be about 72 for the high. Needless to say, the kids can't think of any excuse that will keep us inside, except for right now, when I'm hoping that I can get Danny to take a short nap. We had a busy morning of looking for more rocks for our landscape. I love to raid the fields around here for those beautiful pieces of granite that have been cast aside by others. Why do people pay for this stuff????

I was also able to dig the compost and manure into my raised bed, and get a good start on the new area where I will attempt to plant tomatoes. Actually, I'm sure that I will plant them, it's whether or not they will produce there. We'll see! The early lettuce is planted in a container, and hopefully by the end of the day, the herbs will be planted in their respective pots as well.

Please, whoever might be unfortunate enough to encounter me at the end of the week, when it's 40-50 and raining, remind me about these great days.
